Qualifications
- Must have a MS/BS degree in Computer Science
- Experience in C, C++, Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS languages

General Overview
Ampex® is seeking a Hardware Engineer III with experience in FPGA RTL design and circuit design. The successful candidate must be able to work in a team environment throughout the engineering development life cycle process from requirements definition, design documentation, implementation, qualification testing and product support.

Principle Duties
- Report to the Hardware Engineering Manager
- Conduct system-level requirements analysis and generate FPGA design specifications
- Design, develop, and implement high-speed FPGA Logic Design
- Take ownership of legacy designs for support and hardware obsolescence refresh
- Develop FPGA verification and validation procedures, including simulation and hardware testing
- Perform comprehensive verification and validation of FPGA designs
- Document and maintain FPGA design configurations and related data
- Assists with integration of hardware and software in the target systems
- Support team members with resolving design issues
- Assists with production support once the design is deployed into the field
Qualifications
- Must have a BS degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent
- 5 to 7 years of experience in FPGA development
- Expertise in high-speed digital circuit design, including FPGA implementation
- Proficient in FPGA logic design, simulation, and synthesis tools (e.g., VHDL, Verilog)
- Experience with microprocessor and embedded system architectures
- Proficiency in design and simulation tools for FPGA development (e.g., Modelsim)
- Skilled in FPGA system test, validation, and debugging methods
- Experience in high-speed digital circuits and board design
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

Electronic Systems Assembler II – CA

General Overview
The Electronic Systems Assembler performs a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units. Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.

- Performs advanced mechanical assemblies & sub-assemblies
- Operates hand and power tools to complete assemblies
- Board level assembly of electronic systems
- Cable harness assembly
- Support of engineering prototype builds

- Interacts with management and team members to encourage effective communication on production floor
- Performs standard testing and major troubleshooting
- Ensures quality standards are met throughout all steps of the assembly process
Qualifications
- Ability to read assembly prints and electrical schematics, and blueprints
- Knowledge of cable routing, harness configuration, soldering, wiring & crimping standards
- Proficient in advanced assembly, general inspection and troubleshooting of electro-mechanical systems
- Advanced mechanical/electrical background with strong knowledge of historical and current assemblies and manufacturing practices
- 7+ years of related experience
- High School Diploma

General Overview
Ampex is looking for a Financial Controller to join our multi-disciplinary team. Reporting to the Ampex Vice President and General Manager, the Controller is responsible for the execution of every day financial activities and provides advice and guidance on future financial plans.

Principle Duties
- Significant interaction with corporate leadership as well as department managers.
- Provides financial analysis, forecasting, reporting, annual budget planning, and project support to management team.
- Prepares forecasts and analyzes trends to be reported within monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Supports external financial and DCAA/DCMA audits and year-end tax filings by ensuring requests/actions are responded to timely and accurately.
- Provides cost analysis of top-level production builds.
- Provides cost analysis of all R&D and customer funded design, development, and production projects.
- Oversees costing for proposals using input from basis of estimates from managers.
- Prepares government indirect rate calculations and assists with annual incurred cost proposal submissions.
- Responsible for accounts receivable, general ledger, inventory payroll operations and financial reporting activities.
- Operate and communicate effectively with multiple remote teams in 8 US states.
- Mentor, train, and supervise the performance of accounting department personnel.
- Oversees the period-end activities including reconciliations, closing entries, and associated/relevant reporting requirements.
Qualifications
- Degree in Finance; MSA or MBA preferred
- US Government contracting experience
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint ERP
- Demonstrated remote team projects, analytical, financial, and accounting skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience with FAR/DFAR
- Cost Accounting/MMAS working knowledge
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Microsoft Teams, and WebEx
- Experience with DCAA /DCMA, external financial auditors and knowledge of CAS/FAR/Business systems

General Overview
The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the financial performance of projects by providing detailed financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. This role involves collaborating with the accounting team, project managers, production department, and senior leadership to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. The analyst will manage project cost structures and pricing, perform variance analysis, and develop Estimate at Completion (EAC) reports to track financial health. The position will report to the Financial Controller.

Principle Duties
- Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
- Track and report project performance against baseline budgets, identify cost variances and prepare status report.
- Conduct project cost analysis and pricing evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, CAS, and DCAA audit standards.
- Assist to report Provisional Billing Rate (PBR) and reconciliation.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial tracking, forecasting, and reporting efficiency.
- Leverage financial tools and systems (e.g., Excel, Deltek Costpoint, Cognos BI) to automate and streamline reporting functions.
- Other tasks assigned by the management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
- Previous experience as an Accountant, or Financial Analyst.
- Experience with Costpoint software is preferred.
- Defense industry experience, cost accounting, and project accounting experience is a plus
- Excellent computer skills; Microsoft Office Suite knowledge
- Proficiency with accounting software and experience with software system implementation is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Manufacturing Test Technician II (Systems Level) – CA

Ampex® is looking for a highly organized Manufacturing Test Technician II to join our team. The Manufacturing Test Technician II of Electro-Mechanical systems is primarily focused on avionics and flight test equipment. The position duties include the subsystem checkout of production systems and completion of the acceptance test plan datasheets.
This is an onsite position located in Hayward, CA. No employer visa sponsorship is available.
Principle Duties
- Test and troubleshoot at board and component level
- Follow test procedure to install software and firmware on test assemblies
- Perform system and board level test to meet specification requirement as procedure specified
- Perform a wide variety of assigned manufacturing tasks
- Ability to complete tasks within a specified timeline
- Ability to maintain a clean and orderly work area
Qualifications
- AS degree in Electronics or equivalent
- 3-5 years of related electronics work experience
- Familiar with ISO standard manufacturing practices
- Ability to read and understand test procedures and schematics
- Understanding of electronic analog and digital circuitry and print circuit boards
- Ability to use Window and Linux PC to perform work requirement
