Business Development Manager – Remote

Ampex® is looking for a self-motivated, independent, success driven, highly organized Business Development Manager (BDM) that specializes in EW/ISR market sales with a focus on the U.S. Air Force segment of the defense industry to join our multi-disciplinary sales team in supporting leading data management solution products for aerospace applications and related U.S. Air Force programs. General Overview
Reporting to the Ampex® Director of Sales, the BDM is responsible for providing program-based sales growth for Ampex Data Systems Corporation. This position will have responsibility for the profitable growth and capture of assigned accounts, initiatives, and pursuits/captures within ADSC. This position requires strong personal initiative to identify challenges and achieve growth in assigned areas.
Principle Duties
- Execute the company’s strategic plan to grow the business unit and meet individual performance goals to include annual/quarterly bookings quota
- Guide the full spectrum of corporate functions for ADSC to include strategic planning, business development, proposal development, product design, manufacturing, marketing, communications, and partnership development
- Assess and progress probability of win (pWIN) and price-to-win (PTW) metrics for key opportunities to ensure the capture of 2-3 multi-year USAF or FMS programs per year.
- Develop strategic and tactical sales strategies to capture long and short-term business specifically within the Electronic Warfare / Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance market.
- Execute travel and marketing plan within a given budget
Qualifications
- Experience selling into the DoD and/or vertical markets, specifically within the EW/ISR market space (general knowledge of cyber-security and encryption is a plus) with a focus on USAF and USAF Foreign Military Sales (FMS) opportunities
- 5+ years sales experience, 3+ years of sales experience in the defense industry with the ability to aggressively develop sales prospects and convert leads into bookings
- Can quickly learn company products/solutions and deliver sales presentations, both written and verbal, in a highly effective manner
- Highly organized self-starter who can operate independently, managing travel schedule, sales calls, and customer follow-up
- Ability to work from a home office, close proximity to major USAF Program Office locations desired (i.e. Wright Patterson Air Force Base)
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
- Bachelor’s degree desired
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and the ability to quickly learn new CRM software tools

Master Scheduler/Planner – CA

Ampex® is a small, fast-paced, growing aerospace company looking for a Master Scheduler/Planner. This is an exciting and challenging role where you can get into an upstart technology company, be a part of significant growth, and service avionics and airborne flight test systems. General Overview
Ampex® is looking for a talented and committed Master Scheduler/Planner. The Master Scheduler/Planner is responsible for overseeing and scheduling all aspects of all projects, including the coordination of production planning and processes across the supply chain to ensure the efficient use of resources, on-time production, and optimal inventory levels.
Specifically, the Master Scheduler/Scheduler is responsible for creating and maintaining the project schedule and communicating changes. The Master Scheduler/Planner will also coordinate, plan, schedule, and supervise products throughout their production cycle.
In doing so, the Master Scheduler/Planner will work in close collaboration with production teams, procurement, and other departments to monitor progress and ensure material availability, production schedules, and customer demands are met. This will be achieved by identifying potential conflicts and taking corrective action to keep the project on track.

Principle Duties
- Production Planning & Scheduling:
- Develop, implement, and maintain production schedules to meet customer demands, ensuring on-time delivery while minimizing inventory levels.
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure that products are produced on time for distribution in an efficient manner.
- Be well-versed in production procedures and identify bottlenecks in production and develop strategies to mitigate delays.
- Monitor production schedules and adjust as necessary to accommodate changes in customer demand or supply chain disruptions.
- Ensure the smooth and cost-efficient flow of our production operations.
- BOM Management:
- Oversee the creation, maintenance, and accuracy of Bills of Materials (BOMs) for all products, ensuring they reflect the correct components, quantities, and part specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, and procurement teams to ensure BOMs are up-to-date and align with current production processes.
- Ensure that BOM data is correctly integrated into the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system and reflects the most current product requirements.
- Ensure BOMs accurately capture all material, labor, and overhead costs and are aligned with the production schedule.
- Material & Inventory Management:
- Work with the procurement team to forecast material requirements and ensure the timely availability of materials and components.
- Track inventory levels and adjust planning strategies to avoid shortages or excess stock.
- Monitor and report on inventory turns, raw material usage, and finished goods.
- Cross Departmental Coordination:
- Collaborate with production, purchasing, logistics, and other relevant teams to ensure that the production plan is executed effectively.
- Communicate schedule changes, delays, or potential issues to stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Review and adjust schedules based on availability of resources, equipment, and personnel.
- Performance Analysis & Reporting:
- Analyze production performance metrics and provide regular reports on the status of production schedules, inventory levels, and material availability.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, production efficiency, and material utilization.
- Identify areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions to enhance planning processes.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in production planning, capacity management, coordinating production workflow for multiple projects, inventory management and kit pulling, scheduling, or supply chain management.
- Experience with MRP Systems, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., Costpoint by
- Deltek (preferred), SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles.
- Familiarity with a variety field’s concepts, practices, procedures, manufacturing processes, material management, and production workflows.
- Certification in planning or supply chain management (e.g., APICS CPIM, PMP) is preferred.
- Skills:
- Ability to understand engineering documents by reviewing product drawings and specifications and working closely with members of the engineering team.
- Coordinate production workflow for multiple products and forecast demand to minimize product to market lead times.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills and the ability to multitask and be detailed-oriented.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating cross-functionally.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and scheduling software.
- Physical Requirements:

Manufacturing Test Technician II – CA

Ampex® is looking for a highly organized Manufacturing Test Technician II to join our team. The Manufacturing Test Technician II of Electro-Mechanical systems is primarily focused on avionics and flight test equipment. The position duties include the subsystem checkout of production systems and completion of the acceptance test plan datasheets.

- Test and troubleshoot at board and component level
- Follow test procedure to install software and firmware on test assemblies
- Perform system and board level test to meet specification requirement as procedure specified

Qualifications
- AS degree in Electronics or equivalent

Qualifications

- Proficient in FPGA logic design, simulation, and synthesis tools (e.g., VHDL, Verilog)
- Experience with microprocessor and embedded system architectures
- Proficiency in design and simulation tools for FPGA development (e.g., Modelsim)
